Past surveys have shown that less than 13% of residential students are watching traditional television on a weekly basis, as many have opted to use popular streaming services such as Netflix, AppleTV+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, etc. Last semester, IT Services engaged with the Student Government Association (SGA) and gathered feedback about campus television viewing habits. Based on feedback from students, the low percentage of use, and the increased cost of maintaining television service, the University has decided to discontinue television service at the end of the 2022-2023 academic year.
