All Christopher Newport University students and faculty may install Atlas.ti on personal computers for academic use.  If you'd like Atlas.ti on a University-owned computer, please enter a help desk ticket.

When you sign in or create an account using the link, you'll be asked to join the license.  Click Join License.

Installing Atlas.ti

On a Mac

Once you click the download link, you'll be asked to save it to your computer.  

Do so, then double-click it where it saved.

Click Agree when the license agreement appears.

Drag the Atlas.ti icon into the Applications icon.

Drag to ApplicationsImage Added

You'll have to sign in with your computer's username and password.

You can then run Atlas.ti.  The first time you do, you'll have to log in. Click Go to Login.

Then, log in using your e-mail address and your Atlas.ti password (NOT your CNU password).

You'll then be able to use Atlas.ti.

Windows

Click your downloaded file.

Click in DownloadsImage Added

Click Next.

Check the box to accept the license agreement and click Next again.

On the next two screens, click Next, then Install.

You may be asked for a password.  This is your computer password.

The software will then install.  Check the Launch ATLAS.ti box and click Close.

The first time you use Atlas.ti, you'll be asked to log in.  Click Go to Login.

Log in with your e-mail address and Atlas.ti account password (NOT your CNU password).

Atlas.ti will then be ready to use.
