You can embed YouTube videos nearly anywhere in many places you’re able to enter text on Scholar.  There are two ways to do so: searching for a YouTube video through the Add Content buttonand embedding into another type of content, or manually linking a video that you've already located on YouTube.

Searching for Videos with Add Content

You can start the embedding process by choosing the Add Content button in the content editor.

This will bring you to a space where you can preview the video, as well as select some settings for how the video will be displayed in the content it is being embedded into. Note: Some YouTube videos do not allow for inline play, and will need to be opened inside the YouTube platform in order to play it. When this is the case, Scholar will alter the embed to indicate such.

Linking Videos Directly

Sometimes you may not be able to use the Mashup search to add the video.  You may be sharing one of your own unlisted videos, a video published with settings that prevent embedding, or you may just find it more convenient since you've already located the video that you want.  If this is the case, you can directly embed link the video.

First, find the video on YouTube, and copy the URL at the top of the browser.

Go Return to the area in Scholar where you'd like to embed the video. Paste the URL into the content editor.
