Adding an image to the main page of your course in Scholar can be a great way to engage students and differentiate your courses.
To do so, select Teaching Style from the Customization menu.
Scroll down to Select Banner and click Browse My Computer to find an image. For accessibility reasons, you should enter descriptive text in the Banner Alt Text field.
Click Submit, and your banner will appear.Edit Display Settings from your Details and Actions menu from within the course.
A sidebar will open with two settings: The Course Image toggle will ensure that the image being uploaded is visible from inside the course itself, as well as on your Courses page in Scholar
Use Upload New Image to upload an image of your choice from your computer. Note that Scholar's display requirements require the image to have a minimum resolution of 1200x240 pixels, and that images with text may not scale well to the space provided.
Click Save, and your banner will be added to the course.
