After inserting a CD into the lectern computer, it is relatively simple to locate said CD to play it. Open open the File Explorer on your taskbar (it should look like a folder). Note: If you do not have access to the computer inside the lectern due to it being locked, you will need to contact Academic Technologies to schedule lectern training and receive a key.

From the resulting window, select 'This PC'  to see all the available devices and drives for this computer; the CD will be among them. Double-click the named CD to begin playing.

You can also right-click the CD, and select 'Play with VLC Media Player'.

As the CD is playing, you can use the computer's audio settings to adjust the volume of play. This can most easily be accessed via the taskbar; click the Volume icon on the far right to open the needed slider, and adjust the volume as needed.  If you cannot hear the audio regardless of volume, the computer may be routing said audio through the wrong output. Select the arrow on the upper right of the slider window, and select "Crestron (Intel(R) Display Audio)"
