  • Browse to the main site (waypoint for cnu.edu or my for myCNU)
  • Click +Add Content 
  • From the menu, select Section 
  • Name the new section folder using according to naming conventions
  • Click Submit 
  • The new section folder with associated assets has been created

Edit _config  block

The _config  block is where you set things like the section name, header for the section landing page, and any widgets (like navigation menus and learn more blocks) in the left and/or right columns.

  • Click on the _config  block in the section and click Edit 
  • Enter the section name and choose an image block for the header if needed
  • The navigation block is already linked in the left widget column for cnu.edu pages and the right widget column for myCNU pages
  • Add any additional widgets in their respective columns – contact block, learn more, etc.
    • Note: myCNU uses a two-column layout.  Only the right column should have widgets.
  • Click the vertical ellipsis in the top right, enter any comments for what edits were made, and then slick Submit 

Edit index  page

  • Events and Center sites are exceptions and have their own template in the dropdown

Page appearance

Style Template

Select the page template you wish to use. Standard is the default for all CNU pages. There are options for other special cases such as CNU academic center pages, CNU events, CNU initiatives, etc.

Content Layout

Select the layout. Full width is the default. The other option is Two column.

Include page header visual?

Option for adding an image header. If No is selected, a blue gradient background will appear with the page name overlayed on it.

Include section navigation?

Option for adding section navigation below the page header. Yes is selected by default. For one-off pages, a section navigation is not needed.

Include a Call to Action section?

Outputs a box right above to footer that includes an option for short text and buttons.

Main column

Component

Where the main content of the page gets built. You can add components directly to the page or create components as reusable content blocks and then add them here.

To add multiple components to a page, click the green + in the top right of the Component box header.
