There are known issues with SPSS support on macOS Sonoma. IBM has documented the issue in detail here. It must be noted that the patches for SPSS on Sonoma are exclusively available from IBM, and are not provided by CNU. Navigate to the "Fix for macOS Sonoma" link located in the table of contents. |

As the SPSS installer is a large file, you may get a warning that Google Drive cannot scan the file for viruses. Since this is a trusted CNU drive, click “Download anyway,” and the file will download.
Installing SPSS
- Navigate to where you downloaded the file on your computer and open it.
- The installer will start. Click Next.
- You’ll be presented with a license agreement. Accept the agreement and click Next.
- Either way, you’ll be asked where to install SPSS. Unless you have a reason to install it somewhere other than the default, click Next.
- Then, click Install to begin the installation. The process may take a few minutes to complete, and will ask a user to input administrator credentials if using a CNU computer.
- When it completes, you’ll be given the option to automatically launch the program. Make sure the box is checked and click Finish.
- The License Authorization Wizard will start when you first launch SPSS. Choose “Launch License Wizard", then in the following screen select "Concurrent User License."
- On the next screen, enter equity.cnu.edu in the box and click Next.
- You’ll see a message that your license has been applied. Click Finish.
