Use the FERG A213 AV Equipment

Fergusson A213 has a unique AV setup. This article will tell you how to use the equipment in that room.

Please note that this room does not integrate audio controls in the AV system. You’ll need to connect your computer and manage the audio separately.

Basic Operation

To turn the system on, tap the touch panel.

After about 10 seconds, the displays will turn on and will display the CNU logo.

On the left side, select what you’d like displayed on the classroom TVs.

To display the CNU logo instead of what is on your computer screen or doc cam, tap CNU Logo.

To resume displaying your materials, re-select the appropriate source on the left (Lectern Mac, Laptop HDMI, or Doc Cam

If you want the display to show a blank screen instead, tap Blank Video.

Blanking video is not the same thing as turning the system off. Blanking the video keeps the TVs on and prevents the selected sources from displaying on the screen.

To resume showing your content, simply tap Blank Video again.

Freeze Video displays what was showing on the screen at the time the Freeze Video button is tapped. To freeze your video, tap Freeze Video.

Just like with blanking the video, to return to whatever is currently on your screen, tap Freeze Video again.

Displaying Two Different Things

You can display a different thing on each screen by tapping the Advanced Video Control button at the top-right.

That will take you to the Advanced Video Control page. On that page, first, tap the screen that you want to control, then tap the video source, Blank Video, or Freeze Video.

Source then destination

Whatever you select will be applied to the selected screen. You can then repeat the process for the other screen.

You can also turn off a particular TV by tapping its icon and then tapping Power Off.

Once you no longer need to display different things on each display, tap the “Return to Main Routing” button to be taken back to the main screen. When you select something there, it will be displayed on both screens.

Turning the System Off

It’s important to turn the system off in order to preserve the life of the displays and other AV equipment

To turn the system off, tap System Off in the bottom right corner of the main screen.

Then, tap yes. The displays will power off and the AV equipment will reset.

There will be an approximately 10 second cool down period before you are able to turn the system on again.
