Import email contacts into Google Contacts

To import contacts from another e-mail system, you must first export them to a CSV file.  The method for exporting contacts varies between e-mail systems. Contact your e-mail provider for help with this.

Once you have your file, go to the contacts menu by clicking the app switcher in the top-right corner of any Google page and choosing “Contacts”.

Select Import from the far left menu.

From the popup window, choose a file to import. If you do not have a properly formatted file, you can at this point download a template to create one.

Once you have selected your file, click “Import.” The contacts on the file will be imported into your Contacts.
