Controlling the System

To start showing items on the TV, you’ll have to select them from the Source Select box on the left side of the touch panel.

Source Select
  • To use your own computer, tap User Laptop and plug in your computer to the cable on the lectern.

  • To use the document camera, tap Document Camera. If you need instructions on how to operate the document camera, please see our full guide.

  • To use the classroom computer, tap Room Laptop and sign in as normal

You can control the volume of any media that’s playing through the system with the volume control at the bottom of the touch panel. Turning the volume to minimum will still have some sound playing. To completely silence audio, use the Mute button.

Audio controls

You can tap Video Mute to blank the screen, but not turn it off, allowing you to work on something you don’t want students to see or to create a distraction-free environment.

Video Mute

Video Freeze is similar to Video Mute, except it basically pauses the image on the screen when you tap Video Freeze. Anything that happens on the computer or document camera will not display. This is useful for queuing up survey questions or preparing the next item to display.

Video Freeze

When you press Video Mute or Video Freeze, the audio is also muted. To play audio from a computer while keeping the screen muted or frozen, unmute the audio.
