Sub-pages are nested under their related section.  For example, Departments is a sub-page of the Academics section on the main site cnu.edu.

Folder structure

  • Browse to the section in the main site where the sub-page should be housed
  • Click +Add Content 
  • From the menu, select Folder with Page 
  • Name the new sub-page folder using according to naming conventions
  • Click Submit 
  • The new sub-page folder with associated assets has been created

Edit index  page

  • Select the index  page in the sub-page folder and click Edit 
  • Enter metadata for the page
    • Display Name  and Title  fields – this is how the page name will display in the navigation menu, in other link assets, and when searched
    • Description  –  describes the content of the page and is what is pulled by search engines
  • Select a page template from the page  dropdown
    • The CNU template is the default and is used for cnu.edu and myCNU pages
    • Events and Center sites are exceptions and have their own template in the dropdown
  • Select whether the page needs a header image or not
    • Note: with the exception of Counseling Services, myCNU does not use header images
  • Select the checkboxes for left and/or right sidebar
    • This sets the column layout
    • myCNU uses a two column layout with a right sidebar
    • cnu.edu uses a two or three column layout
  • Add content blocks to the Main Content  section
  • Additional content in the left and right sidebars can be added under the Left  and Right  sections
    • Note: This will override content set in the _config  block of the section and you will need to re-link the whatever blocks had been set in _config  here
  • Click the vertical ellipsis in the top right, enter any comments for what edits were made, and then slick Submit
