Only specific file types are allowed (see full list on this page)
If the body/text of your email is longer than 200 characters, it will also be converted into a job that you can print alongside your attached documents
If you're having trouble and are receiving a specific error message with the Print Anywhere client, check the Troubleshooting article.

Client Installation
Windows
Ui steps
Ui step
Download the .
Ui step
Double-click the installer to launch it, approving the request for administrative permissions when prompted.
Ui step
On the first screen click the Install button to begin.
Ui step
When the installation completes, as indicated by the “Installation finished successfully message”, click the Finish button to close the installer.
Ui step
If you receive a firewall prompt to allow “Pharos Com Task Master” to accept incoming connections, allow the connection.
Ui step
You may now print to the CNU Print Anywhere system any time that you are connected to CNU’s wireless network. When you print a document to the printers added by the installer, you will be prompted to enter your CNU ID number so that only you will be able to release your document at the corresponding printer release station.
The Windows print queues are preconfigured with specific drivers, so that jobs sent to the “CNU_PrintAnywhere_BW” queue will always be rendered in gray scale. Altering or changing the driver on this queue may cause jobs to be charged based upon their actual contents (i.e. if color is present, color costs will be charged accordingly).
MacOS
Ui steps
Ui step
Download the appropriate print drivers for your version of MacOS.
You can download the latest driver from http://i.cnu.edu/printanywheredriver. Select your version of MacOS, and download the latest Letter driver file (not A4).
After downloading, double-click the zip file to automatically extract it in your Downloads folder.
Ui step
Locate and run the installer file, “C759_C658_C368_C287_C3851.pkg”, under your Downloads folder: Downloads > C759_C658_C368_C287_C3851_Series_v11.6.0_Letter. You will not need to customize any options. Simply click the Continue button a few times, & then click Install, providing your administrative password when prompted.
Once installed, you can delete the downloaded zip file and extracted folder from your Downloads.
Ui step
Download the .
Ui step
Mount/open the CNU Print Anywhere Macintosh disk image and run the packaged installer, “CNU-PrintAnywhere.pkg”. Click the Continue button a few times, and then provide your administrative password when prompted.
Ui step
If you receive a firewall or security prompt to allow “Popup.app” to accept incoming connections, click on the Allow button.
Ui step
You may now print to the CNU Print Anywhere system any time that you are connected to CNU’s wireless network. When you print a document to the printers added by the installer, you will be prompted to enter your CNU ID number so that only you will be able to release your document at the corresponding printer release station.
Linux
Info
To use Linux with CNU’s Print Anywhere system, you will need to have the CUPS package installed. This package comes preinstalled on most Linux distributions. If you are not able to load the website in Step 1, you may need to install it manually. These instructions were specifically tested with Ubuntu 20, but should remain the same or be similar in other distributions.
Ui steps
Ui step
Open your internet browser and type the following into the address bar, http://localhost:631.
Ui step
Click on the “Administration” menu at the top of the screen.
Ui step
Click on “Add Printer”. You may be prompted to enter your administrative credentials.
Ui step
Under “Other Network Printers”, select the option for “LPD/LPR Host or Printer” and click Continue.
Ui step
In the “Connection” box, type the following, without quotes, and click Continue.
CNU PrintAnywhere Color Queue: “lpd://{{CNU_ID}}@pharos.cnu.edu:515/CNU_PrintAnywhere_Color”
Replace “{{CNU_ID}}” with your CNU ID number.
Ui step
Enter a name for the printer. This should match the queue name (e.g. “CNU_PrintAnywhere_Color”). The Description and Location fields are optional. Click Continue.
Ui step
On the “Add Printer” screen, choose to provide a PPD file to identify the printer, and click “Add Printer”.
At the time of writing, the correct PPD file can be found by extracting the downloaded zip file from Konica Minolta. It will be in the extracted “Linux/CUPS1.2/EN” folder and is named “KOC759UX.ppd”.
Ui step
On the “Set Default Options” screen, change the printer model to “C659”. All other options can be left at their default values. Click the “Set Default Options” button to finish adding the printer.
Ui step
You may now print to the CNU Print Anywhere system any time that you are connected to CNU’s wireless network. When you print a document to the printer that you added above, you will NOT be prompted to enter your CNU ID number. Because of this, you must enter your exact CNU ID number in Step #5.
Unless you specifically set the color mode on your print job to be in “Black and White” or “Color”, your document will print out exactly as seen on your screen and you will be charged accordingly, regardless of which print queue that you sent your print job to.
Client Uninstallation
Windows
Launch the Windows Settings app and go to the “Apps & features” section.
Select “Pharos” from the list and click the “Uninstall” button.
Click the second “Uninstall” button to confirm.
In the prompts that appear, select to “Run [the] Uninstaller”, and click the Next button twice.
On the “Select Components” screen, select all items that appear in the list, click the Next button twice, and then click the Start button to begin the uninstallation.
When complete, click the Finish button to close the uninstaller.
MacOS
In Finder, browse to the root of your hard drive.
Under the “Library” folder, go to “Application Support,” and then “Pharos.”
In the “Utilities” folder there, run the Uninstaller application.
When prompted, tick the box next to “Pharos Popup” and press the Continue button twice, followed by the Done button to fully remove the application.
Linux
There is no Linux client to remove; only the built-in CUPS packages are used.
10 per job
A new job is processed each time you press the “Start” button on the copier
The above costs are effective as of 7 September 2016.
Info
If you run out of Print Funds, you can also use Captains Cash for printing.
