Computer equipment that you no longer need cannot be simply discarded.  You must put it through the surplus process in order for ITS to properly dispose of the equipment.

To do so, fill out the CNU Technology Equipment Transfer & Surplus Form.  Once that has been fully filled out and signed then go out to help.cnu.edu.

Click IT Help Ticket.

Submit Request.

Enter your name and phone number.  For "How would you categorize this request?" choose "Surplus."

Name, number and surplus

Enter the location of the item(s) to be picked up in the Building and Room Number boxes. Put a description of the item in the Details box.

Attach the CNU Technology Equipment Transfer & Surplus Form by clicking on the Choose File button.

Then, click Submit Request.

Once the ticket has been submitted and routed a member from the Project Management Operations team will reach out to set up a date and time to pick up the surplussed items.

Once ticket has been received by the Helpdesk, an ITS employee will make arrangements to pick up the items so that the surplus process may begin.  No items should be taken from customer until the surplus request and form have been submitted.

Please note: IT Technicians will not bring old equipment to our office for surplus unless a surplus request and surplus form have been completed. Technicians will only remove equipment to be surplussed once this process has been done.
