After thoughtful engagement with the Student Government Association (SGA) about the low percentage of cable television use, and increased costs of maintaining the service, the University has decided to discontinue television service in residence halls at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 academic year.

Christopher Newport can provide Cox “Contour TV” service for departments that require cable TV. Departments who would like cable television service installed should submit an IT Help Desk request via help.cnu.edu. Please note, there is a monthly recurring cost associated for Cable Television and costs vary based on how many locations require cable TV.
