Document Camera Guide
As of Summer 2025, all instructional spaces will be equipped with Epson ALPDC13 or ALPDC21 Document cameras. These cameras will replace the existing document cameras in the lecterns, as well as serve as a flexible webcam option for all classrooms.
Displaying Documents on the Classroom Display
Turning the Camera On
To display items on the document camera, select “Doc Cam” on the classroom touch panel.
Gently position the head so it’s pointing at the documents on the lectern.
Then, power the camera on using its Power button.
Adjusting the Image
If the image is dark, you can activate the light with the switch on the camera head.
To zoom in and out, use the Zoom buttons on the camera.
If the image is out of focus, press the Focus button to run the auto-focus again.
If you want to display a static image of something on the document camera, and then be able to remove the object that you’re showing, you can use the Freeze button. Pressing it again will return to a live view.
Turning the Camera Off
When you’re done using the document camera, power it off with the Power button.
Using the Document Camera with Google Meet
The document camera also serves as a webcam for use with Google Meet or other software that requires a webcam.
You MUST use the classroom PC in order to use the document camera as a webcam.
Before going to your web browser, turn the document camera on using the power button.
Start up your Google Meet as normal. Once you’re connected, select EPSON ELPDC for the camera AND microphone.
Flip up the document camera head so it’s pointing at the people that you’d like on camera for the meeting.
When you’re done with your meeting, remember to power the document camera off with the Power button.
If your Meet Image Displays Upside Down
If your image in Google Meet displays upside down, open the settings app from the Start menu.
Select the “Bluetooth & devices” menu on the left and choose “Cameras.”
Choose EPSON ELPDC.
Scroll down until you see Video Rotation, then choose 180 degrees.
