Description

The Gradebook module in Scholar can save you a lot of time and effort.  It automatically incorporates test or assignment grades issued through Scholar, performs all calculations, and immediately communicates that information to students. This session will show faculty members how to  set up columns in their grade center, incorporate existing assignments, and use calculated columns for unit of final grades.

Assumptions

This workshop will require that faculty members be able to access Scholar.

• Create basic Grade Center columns
• Enter student grades into existing columns
• Create assignments that link to the Grade Center
• Create Grade Center categories
• Apply both existing and custom categories to columns
• Create calculated columns
• Use calculated columns to calculate a weighted grade
• Determine the proper total column to show to students
• Hide irrelevant columns from students
