Making and Posting Video Lectures

Description

Video creation can be an unparalleled tool in any educator’s kit, allowing them to demonstrate important procedures, provide a visual element to any lecture, or allow students to stretch their creative muscles in their own work. In this session, participants will be introduced to a simple, effective tool known as Screencast-O-Matic, which is designed for creating and saving their own screencasts online. Participants will also be walked through the basics of how to host these or any other video creations on YouTube, then share those videos to students within their Scholar Course shell.

Required Participant Prep Work

No prep work required. However, if a participant intends to use a specific device for screencasting (ex. A laptop) they should bring it to the session for setup.
