Description
The Grade Center module in Scholar can save you a lot of time and effort. It automatically incorporates test or assignment grades issued through Scholar, performs all calculations, and immediately communicates that information to students. This session will show faculty members how to set up columns in their grade center, incorporate existing assignments, and use calculated columns for unit of final grades.
Assumptions
This workshop will require that faculty members be able to access Scholar.

- Setting up basic columns
- Entering grades in basic columns
- Creating an assignment column
- Creating and assigning categories
- Working with calculated columns
- Showing the correct total column to students
Learning Outcomes
After completing this workshop, faculty members will be able to:
- Create basic Grade Center columns
- Enter student grades into existing columns
- Create assignments that link to the Grade Center
- Create Grade Center categories
- Apply both existing and custom categories to columns
- Create calculated columns
- Use calculated columns to calculate a weighted grade
- Determine the proper total column to show to students
- Hide irrelevant columns from students
